Bank holidays always require changes to the usual collection schedules. The extra Thursday Bank Holiday to mark The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee means the changes are more significant than a normal, including a need for collections on two consecutive Saturdays.
The changes are as below.
-
No collections on Thursday 2 June. These collections to happen on Saturday 4 June.
-
No collections on Friday 3 June. These collections to happen on Monday 6 June.
-
All collections for the week beginning 6 June will take place one day later, including Friday 10 June collections happening on Saturday 11 June.
For most households in the Cheddar Valley, this means that green bins (garden waste) will go out on Sunday night (5th June) for collection on Monday, and recycling boxes/bags go out on Monday (6th June) for collection on Tuesday.
