There was a referendum in Axbridge to decide whether the residents wish to request formally that Sedgemoor District Council uses the Axbridge Neighbourhood Plan when deciding planning applications. The poll took place on Thursday 9th December 2021 between 0700 hrs and 2200 hrs.
The results were:

No: 44
Eligible voters: 1,499
Turnout: 20.81 %
