Cllr Graham Godwin-Pearson and Jeff Savage have met Police and Crime Commissioner Mark Shelford in Cheddar Gorge to discuss possible ways to reduce anti-social behaviour and dangerous driving.
They talked about the solutions that they are hoping to implement if elected next month, including:-
- Closing the Gorge to traffic at certain times over the weekend, replacing cars with community events
- Installing noise cameras to penalise drivers with deliberately noisy cars
Graham says, "The Gorge is an asset to our community and yet at certain times, people are afraid to visit because of a small minority of motorists.
"Our plans will cut anti-social behaviour and improve the Gorge for everyone's benefit."
