Newly-elected councillor for Axevale, Graham Godwin-Pearson, was invited to speak at the annual meeting of Compton Bishop and Cross Parish Council tonight, along with Somerset County Councillor Bob Filmer.
Conservative MP for Wells, James Heappey, was also able to attend and spoke at length about some of the key issues affecting the parish and wider area.
Graham says, "Being new to the role, my main task for now is to listen and understand the detail of the issues affecting all of us in the parish. It was lovely to be asked to speak, but even more important to learn about the hard work of the Parish Council so that my colleagues and I can help in the future."
