Commitment to remodel the Magic Roundabout

Graham Godwin-Pearson and Jeff Savage have secured a commitment to remodel the Magic Roundabout, which is causes congestion problems every day for traffic moving between Cheddar, Axbridge and Shipham.

The current County council group has included a root-and-branch overhaul in its manifesto for a Conservative administration in Somerset County Hall.

Cllr Graham Godwin-Pearson says, "The Magic Roundabout has been a bottleneck for so many years, with extra constraints put on it from the quarry lorries. It will only get worse with the new housing development planned for Upper New Road.

"If elected, Jeff and I will prioritise taking this junction back to the drawing board, to make it safer for all road users, more logical and less of a congestion hot-spot."
